Collecticon 2013 Day 02: Around the Event Floor plus Cosplayers
My wife and I arrived in the afternoon and we were surprised that in spite of the bad weather, there was a good turnout at the event. I even jokingly said that we just got off the LRT and are we now back in it?
As expected, there were lots of stores selling toys of all kinds. There were display booths. My favorite, MaxiCollectors was there. There was even a speaker talking about what I think was figure customization. Kids and adults alike were milling all over the event floor.
We braved the crowds and were able to browse through all the stores. I finally found the store that I'm looking for, the one selling Hot Wheels for only P60 a car. I'm actually collecting cars on the Hot Wheels Blings line that were released around 2004 and 2005. I already have a couple of them which I bought at 168 and at ToyCon. Now this store has plenty of them. I bought around 11 Blings cars plus 3 more on the ... line. After that, I decided to close my wallet and to just take some pictures while I roamed around. It was tiring but enjoyable nonetheless.

Collecticon 2013: Why did I miss this before?
I can't believe that it's already on its 6th year and I wasn't even aware of Collecticon 2013 until I saw a post on the Big Boys Toy Store page advertising this event. Since ToyConPH 2013, I've been waiting for another similar event to attend so this would be another perfect opportunity for me to check out some cool toys, and even maybe buy some, plus a chance to do some toy photography. So I immediately informed my wife that we would be planning to attend this event on Saturday at Robinsons Place Manila. Good thing she agreed :)

ToyConPH 2013 Day 02: Samurai & Villains
ToyConPH 2013 Day 02: Gallery of Cosplayers
ToyConPH 2013 Day 02: Robots & Heroes
Upon arriving at Megatrade Hall, my wife and twin nieces were surprised by the long queue of people buying tickets to ToyCon. For the past two ToyCons, we didn't encounter long lines. In spite of this, and the heat, our enthusiasm for the event went unabated.
Once, we got past the gates, we roamed the halls while taking shots of toys and cosplayers. The twins were particularly excited since they know most of the characaters of the cosplayers.
Here are some of the pictures I took:

Our pet Zorro would be dearly missed!
I was deeply saddened to learn that our beloved pet Zorro had passed away. Everyone in the family was very close to Zorro since he also got a sickness when he was just a pup and he almost didn't make it then. But after he was taken to the vet he eventually got better and grew up healthy.
Zorro got big and strong and he always did his duty as the guard dog of the house. Often, he would be awake throughout the night and be asleep during the day.
After some time, we had another dog in the house which we called Milky due to a white spot that runs on her tummy. Milky is the daughter of another dog of ours, Sasha. Later, Zorro and Milky had several puppies but sadly only one survived. My niece, Thea, fondly called this puppy survivor, Baby Z, since her spotted eyes looked just like Zorro's. Eventually all three of them became our beloved pets and loyal guard dogs.

We would all miss Zorro. Zorro was so gentle and kind. Even though Thea would sometimes pat him strongly on the head, Zorro would just dismiss this and would just look calmly at Thea. Thea would then just go on patting him again. But when Zorro sensed a stranger, his bark would be so loud it could be heard even next door.

Dolphin Show at Ocean Adventure, Subic
Sealion Show at Ocean Adventure, Subic
After a hearty lunch, it was time to go to Ocean Adventure for the Sealion Show. There were two "officers" with the two sealions and together they did a skit that combined the stunts with some laughs. They even requested a volunteer to be kissed by one of the sealions. The audience really had a great time as evidenced by the laughter and the applause at the end of the show.

Kristine & Ronan's Wedding
Yesterday, our friends Kristine and Ronan tied the knot. I was able to take some shots during the reception at The Mango Farm. It was fun seeing old friends and we were all so noisy again just like our good old Lawson days.
Here's one of my favorite shots of the lovely couple:

At the Mango Farm
Today, we have attended the wedding of our friends, Tin & Ronan. It was such a beautiful celebration and it was great to see old friends that it seemed like a mini-reunion.
More pictures coming soon...
Here's one of the shots that I took of the lamps lined up along a pathway leading from the reception hall to the gazebo:

Trying Out the New MySpace
MySpace is back and it looks totally cool! It kicks both facebook and Google+ in the layout department. I love the whole screen Cover Image and the horizontal orientation. I don't have any friends there yet but I was still able to connect to different bands and artists.
Here's my layout so far:
