Just wanted to share a picture of one my favorites from my Revoltech collection: Rurouni Kenshin. The classic anime is also one of my favorites and the recent live action feature is epic as well.

A Day in the Life of Android

The adventures of Android begins. Now!

Android's first stop was at Newport Mall. Android had some ice cream at Crepes & Creme. Android loved the view from that location.

Hanging Out at Harbour Square: Instagram Snapshots

Last Monday, after a mini-Photowalk of Manila, my wife and I just hung out at Starbucks, Harbour Square for some badly-needed R&R. We just sat, read newspapers, browsed the Web, watched TV, read eBooks, etc., while slowly sipping our Starbucks drinks. We also brought our cameras so we could take shots of the setting sun later on. I also brought my Lego Star Wars figures for some quick Instagram snapshots:

Earlier we've also met with the eBay seller to buy this Lego Toy Story figures. Another Instagram snapshot is in order:

Wolverine Pop!

Next to Batman, my favorite superhero is Wolverine. Last week, I bought this cute Wolverine Pop! Vinyl Bobble-Head from NewHavenPH.com. Last Sunday, I took pictures of it. Last night, I combined the pictures on Lightroom using a template I downloaded from Kelly Colson Photography blog.

Here's the end-result :)

I'm really pleased with the final image and I'll try to use more templates with Lightroom for my other shots. Actually, I've noticed that in spite of the name of my blog, Pix n' Toys++, I haven't really posted much toy pictures lately (The photos I've posted are mostly travel shots so they are in the ++ part of my blog title). So I'll try to be more in the spirit of my blog title and would try to post more shots of my collection.

The Dark Knight will Rise

Finally, after waiting for a long time, my weeklong vacation has arrived! What better way to start than to post a picture of one of my Batman action figures. Actually I've taken this picture months ago but it was only today that I had time to do some post-processing. Hopefully I could take advantage of this vacation to take pictures of my other Batman and Revoltech collections.

My Latest Toy :)

I've been a long time user of Apple's iPod touch and I'm very satisfied with the iOS. But I've heard so many good things about Google's Android and I can't wait to try it out.

Recently, I've read an article that Apple sued Samsung over its Galaxy phones and tablets.  I'm not taking sides but this is good publicity for Galaxy.  Let's just wait and see what the outcome will be.

Japanese Bunny

I borrowed this Japanese Bunny (which was given by a Japanese friend) from my niece, Trish, and I took a picture of it from way back in Sept. 19, 2010:

So imagine my surprise when I saw this similar-looking bunny from a picture taken after the big earthquake that hit Japan last month:

Toy Sandtimer

For some reason, the sandtimer fascinates me. I remember that my first sandtimer was the one that came free with Boggle but it was long gone. So when I saw this toy sandtimer at a Japan budget store, I wasted no time and bought it right away.

One of my fondest memories as a kid was during those times when our parents would drop us off our Grandparents' house to stay over the weekend. My Grandma, whom we all fondly call Nanay, would then fix me up a pandesal w/ scrambled eggs along with a hot cup of Milo while I relax and watch the latest episode of Astro Boy. Those were the good old days!

HULK SMASH!!!

I really enjoy collecting action figures so much, that I even collect some of McDonald's Happy Meal toys.

One of their most recent toy line is the Marvel Super Heroes action figures. Although the rest of the action figures are rather so-so, there is one exception -- the Hulk action figure. It's bigger and heavier than the rest and is chock full of intensity. Here's a shot of him in all his full, green, glory...

Berzerker Barrage!!!

Here's a picture of my first ever Wolverine bust.  My good friend Alvin saw this at an auction at Yahoo Japan and he informed me about it.  He made a bid and eventually won it.  After waiting for several weeks, I finally received it.  It has great detail and has a great likeness of Hugh Jackman from X-Men 3.  The movie was so-so but this bust is awesome!
